Basically what I am doing is trying to come up with a proposal for a readjustment of Vehicles (specifically HAV and their upgraded varients Enforcer and Marauder) and I am trying to make them as fair as possible.
That being said I'd like to get some opinions from the general player base to see what they think are acceptable EHP disparities for vehicles specifically HAV.
The goal is to give the specific races that rely on resistance values that additional amount of EHP while not unbalancing them compared to those that rely of Booster Modules.
Using the general fittings I consider to be designed for Marauders I have noted a disparity in terms of EHP between the Amarr (most focused on Damage resistance to armour) and the Minmatar (most mobile and assuming a Shield Tank) of roughly 850 EHP....roughly 1/2 an AV round/ volley.
Is this considered fair?
What is an acceptable disparity between what are typically considered the highest EHP race and lowest.
Admittedly under the guidelines of my proposal I very much consider the Minmatar HAV to be the most interesting in terms of design.....
Think fast, lots of alpha, and fluctuating shields.

No its just a jumbled concept and garbled assortment of stats for the Minmatar Marauder with a focus on Shield Boosters and Module Cycling.
Resulting in the most interesting high alpha active tank I can think of. Comparativly its window of opportunity is potentially the smallest....but as I see it...the amount of damage that could be inflicted during it could be very respectable.

Think fast, lots of alpha, and fluctuating shields. Very hard to say before you can actually get your hands on them for real testing. Something that I just read that did interest me, which is also relevant to this - there may well need to be adjustments made to Large turret weaponry if there are to be more powerful tanks again. Someone pointed out that the current large weapons just might not cut it against the improved 'tanks' of the new old tanks... if you follow me? EDIT - It was this guy who posted above me ^^^
They won't very truthfully now that I consider it.
Tank Vs Tank is very difficult to break a Hardened 5300 Shield Gunlogi which if tanked correctly for solo use can have almosy 10K EHP (roughly what I was aiming for with Marauder suggestion with 4 primary tanking modules).
They are very hard to break, but not impossible. However with and additional module slot that does change and this is certainly something I am trying to account for in my suggestion as this suggestion does require alterations to the current hulls.

I would love a Minmatar Tank. Imagine all tanks getting a damage/RoF bonus to their racial turret, and then a seperate skill for intended usage.
Like the Minmatar tank getting a bonus to Autocannon RoF and Nitro boosters.
Remember the F1 tanks? Yup. Now put a minigun on it.
Those fit into the design for my enforcers.
Which receive a small damage bonus to their racially aligned turret but suffers by having less EHP than the standard Hull.
However I would rather not see Auto Cannon (e.g haven't accounted for them in my proposal yet) instead preferring Artillery.
For those who don't know the Hyper Alpha Arty Thrasher is the ******* scariest ship ever constructed.

I think CCP will have to focus on reworking the LRG Turrets more than the Tanks. That's what my post is about. I'm glad to see other pilots are thinking about this stuff too!
You are very right about this which really begs the question do we think the current turrets are fit for their role as massive ordinance.
My answer would be no.
I currently loath the Vehicle Turrets the don't visually appear powerful enough or in my mind function in the manner a turret so large it had to be put on a mechanised platform should.

I'd bet 100 million to anyone that if you buy a Marauder tank -- You would feel invincible against today's LRG Turrets fits.
Probably because the Marauder is designed to resist damage over a longer period of time which is what makes it so durable.
Currently Dust 514 Turrets fit more into the DPS category than the Alpha Category with the exception of the Railgun....which could stand to be a bit better.

To be honest I know we could easily figure it all out with the help of Rattati and co. I just wish and hope that I get to sit back in that glorious white Surya tank once more. I only had them unlocked for a total of one single week back when they were around and I sure as hell didn't have enough isk back then to buy more than a couple! Not only that, I seriously seriously long to be a Tank logi again in a Charbidys LLAV or whatever they were called. Cruising about repping tanks and infantry.
I never did as at the time I was hesitant to even skill into STD Tanks because I believed that CCP would bring out Amarr content and not SP refund us.

If you haven't flown a Crusader out of a gank of 3 Arty Thrashers.....you just don't know...... worst 4 seconds of my life. Kind of life drinking one to many tequila shots and being kick in the nuts.
